An established hospitality organization is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead a select-service hotel in the Hartford, CT market. This property operates with a lean team and no meeting space, making it ideal for a leader who thrives in a high-accountability, operations-driven environment and is comfortable being fully engaged in the day-to-day.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hotel leadership experience (GM or strong Assistant GM ready to step up)
  • Background in select-service or limited-service hotels preferred
  • Strong operational and financial acumen (labor, scheduling, cost control)
  • Hands-on leadership style with a visible presence on property
  • Ability to lead in a lean environment and wear multiple hats
  • Experience with major hotel brand systems a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, and overall guest experience

  • Monitor and improve guest satisfaction scores and online reputation
  • Recruit, train, and develop a small, high-performing team
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and company policies
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
