About The Position

This position is responsible for Supervising the day-to-day activities of the Hotel Operations. Prioritizing good communication with your coworkers to help make everyone feel a part of all one team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
  • Must project a professional and positive image.
  • Proficiency in Opera PMS preferred.
  • Two years’ front office or related guest service experience required.
  • High energy level.
  • Proficiency in typing.
  • Excellent non-verbal communication skills – good posture, able to establish eye contact, and positive body language.
  • Must project a professional and positive image.
  • Ability to handle and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
  • Must be able to maintain composure under stress in a fast pace work environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic reading and math skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees and guests.
  • Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations.
  • Must secure appropriate RI mandated gaming licenses

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating a fun and productive work environment.
  • Verifies daily paperwork.
  • Ensures that customer problems/complaints are handled in a timely, effective, courteous manner.
  • Trains new employees and the ability to prepare work schedules.
  • Responsible for the motivation, continual training, and empowerment of employees.
  • Ensures that staff behavior and appearance comply with established policy.
  • Processes discrepancy reports, rate variation and credit reports.
  • Responsible for the efficient operation of the rooming process including arrangements such as the pre-blocking, pre-registration and final check-in of Casino, Group Sales, and VIP guests based upon time of arrival, special requests, and play-based value.
  • Responsible for posting charges and settling folios for individuals and groups as well as resolving due-outs and completing express check-outs.
  • Coordinates the ordering and reconciliation of package coupons.
  • Distributes, handles, redeems, and assigns for distribution coupons that are considered in the calculation of gross revenue.
  • Announces evacuations, contacting appropriate executives in emergencies and evacuation situations.
  • Partners with Housekeeping, Front Services and Casino Marketing to ensure timely guest check-in and maximum occupancy.
  • Ensures cleanliness, organization, and safe condition of work areas.
  • Maintains knowledge of hotels, community, and special events to accurately provide guests with needed information.
  • Administers superior customer service to all guests.
  • Completes special assignments as requested.
  • Any Other Required Duties as assigned
