About The Position

This role is responsible for providing a warm welcome and acknowledging all hotel guests, opening doors, and assisting guests entering and leaving the hotel, including with luggage. The attendant will inform guests of basic hotel information and local points of interest, assist with luggage storage and retrieval, supply directions, and communicate parking procedures. A clean uniform and professional appearance are required. The role involves carrying luggage or packages weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and assisting with items over 75 pounds. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and also be able run, walk, or jog as necessary.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and clearly speak with guests.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and positive demeanor.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of hotel operations and local attractions.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, valet, or bell services is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to greet and assist guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds when assisting with luggage.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred if assisting with valet operations).

Responsibilities

  • Follow company policies to provide a warm welcome and acknowledge all hotel guests.
  • Open doors and provide assistance to guests who are entering and leaving the hotel, including helping with luggage.
  • Inform guests of basic information about the hotel and local areas of interest and activities.
  • Assist guests with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Supply guests with directions.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors.
  • Maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance.
  • Must be able to carry luggage or packages weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to assist in carrying luggage or packages weighing in excess of 75 pounds.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
  • Greet every guest warmly with a friendly, professional attitude upon arrival and departure.
  • Open and close hotel entrance doors for guests.
  • Welcome guests and provide directions to the front desk, restaurants, meeting rooms, and hotel amenities.
  • Assist guests with luggage by coordinating with Bell Services when needed.
  • Manage traffic flow at the front drive, ensuring vehicles move efficiently and safely.
  • Coordinate with valet attendants to expedite vehicle arrivals and departures.
  • Assist guests entering and exiting vehicles, including those requiring additional assistance.
  • Monitor the front entrance to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming appearance.
  • Help organize taxi, rideshare, shuttle, and limousine pickups while minimizing congestion.
  • Communicate effectively with the Front Desk, Bell Services, Security, and Valet teams regarding guest needs.
  • Provide information about local attractions, transportation options, and hotel services.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve minor concerns or direct guests to the appropriate department.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity or safety hazards to hotel management or Security.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel service standards and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the hotel's uniform and grooming standards.
  • Assist during high-volume arrivals, departures, group check-ins, and special events.
  • Help maintain ADA accessibility by assisting guests with disabilities as needed.
  • Thank guests for choosing the hotel and invite them to return.
