About The Position

The Hotel Door Attendant is responsible for creating a positive first impression for guests upon arrival and departure. This role involves managing vehicle flow at the entrance, assisting guests with doors and luggage, providing directions and local information, and ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for guests, especially during inclement weather. The attendant must maintain a clean and professional appearance and collaborate effectively with other hotel staff.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to stand for long periods of time and also be able run, walk, or jog as necessary.
• Able to read, write, understand, and clearly speak with guests.
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, creating a positive first impression
• Open doors and assist guests with entry, exit, and luggage handling (including coordination with bell staff)
• Manage vehicle flow at the entrance and partner with valet to ensure safe, efficient loading/unloading
• Provide directions, transportation assistance, and general hotel/local information
• Support guests during inclement weather and ensure a smooth, comfortable arrival/departure experience
• Communicate parking procedures clearly to guests and visitors
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance in line with hospitality standards
• Safely lift and carry luggage up to 50 lbs independently and assist with heavier items as needed
• Collaborate effectively with valet, front desk, and bell staff to support overall guest experience
• Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned
