This role is for a Hotel Cook / Prep Cook at the Southfield Westin, located at 1500 Town Center Southfield, MI 48075. This is a full-time position with a compensation range of $19.05 to $20.05 per hour. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and the specific location of the role. Actual pay may differ depending on these factors.

Requirements

Previous prep cook or related kitchen experience preferred
Understanding of food safety practices and storage requirements
Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality
Flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Wash, peel, cut, and prep vegetables, fruits, meats, poultry, and seafood
Weigh, measure, and portion ingredients following standardized recipes
Properly label and store food, keeping perishables at safe temperatures
Rotate stock, maintain cleanliness, and uphold all sanitation standards
Assist in transporting food and supplies between prep areas, refrigerators, and cooking stations
