About The Position
The Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago North Shore Deerfield is looking to hire a Breakfast Attendant. This role is responsible for preparing and serving the daily breakfast bar, greeting guests, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will maintain brand standards, follow safe food handling practices, and manage inventory.
Requirements
- Ability to prepare food items such as eggs, sausage, bacon, and waffle batter
- Knowledge of safe food handling and service practices
- Ability to take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies
- Ability to stock coffee, juice, and milk dispensers
- Ability to set up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and paper products
- Ability to arrange cold food items
- Ability to clear and clean tables
- Ability to prepare and set up hot food items
- Ability to follow menu requirements
- Ability to wipe up spills
- Ability to restock items
- Ability to wash serving equipment
- Ability to return reusable food supplies to storage
- Ability to keep the breakfast area clean, including removing trash and cleaning counters, cabinets, and floors
- Ability to listen and respond to guest requests and complaints
Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving daily breakfast bar
- Greeting each guest
- Ensuring guests are comfortable and overall satisfied
- Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar as required by brand standards
- Following safe food handling and service practices at all times
- Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
- Preparing foods such as eggs, sausage, bacon, and waffle batter for breakfast
- Stocking coffee, juice, and milk dispensers
- Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and other paper products
- Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
- Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
- Preparing and setting up hot food items
- Following menu requirements as provided by the brand
- Wiping up spills
- Restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day
- Washing serving equipment and returning to storage
- Returning reusable food supplies to storage
- Keeping breakfast area clean including removing trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, cabinets, and floors
- Listening and responding to guests' requests and complaints
