About The Position

The Hilton Austin Airport is looking for a talented Hotel Accounting Manager to join their leadership team. This role is ideal for someone with accounting experience looking to grow their career in a fantastic location with strong leadership. The recently refreshed Hilton is located in the historic Air Force command building right on Austin-Bergstrom International Airport property and is Austin's gateway full-service hotel. The hotel is managed by Prospera Hospitality, with over 20 years of property management experience in hotels, restaurants, and convention centers.

Requirements

  • Accounting background required
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Prepares accurate, timely financial statements for owners and management.
  • Provides financial analysis and counsel to support bottom-line objectives.
  • Assists with month-end reporting and forecasting processes.
  • Coordinates annual internal/external audits and ensures departmental involvement.
  • Works closely with the DOF, GM, and department heads to provide financial guidance.
  • Monitors and maintains proper controls to maximize profits and minimize losses.
  • Processes biweekly payroll and assists with accounts receivables and accounts payable functions as needed.
  • Prepares daily revenue, cash over/short, and payroll reports.
  • Participates in training and evaluating accounting staff.
  • Assists with performance reviews and provides disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Maintains open communication and professionalism within the organization.
  • Participates in monthly or mid-month inventories and staff meetings.
  • Supports ownership and management teams as needed.
