About The Position

The spa technician’s objective is to provide guests with a clean, safe experience when using spas and pools and to maintain spa and pool equipment in a manner that will protect and maintain the property owner’s investment. The department office is in the Wood Shop building adjacent to the Hibernation House. Parts of the workspace are located on the ground floor, while offices, restrooms and inventory storerooms are located on the second floor and accessed via stairway.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability and application of the basic knowledge in the repair of mechanical components, plumbing fixtures, and electrical devices.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be authorized for WSI vehicle insurance coverage
  • Must be self-starter and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be able to always provide every guest with a high level of customer service.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse group of people and be able to remain calm and professional in handling a variety of tasks and stressful situations.
  • A neat, clean appearance is always expected. Employees must wear company uniform and nametag provided.
  • A courteous, helpful attitude will be displayed at all times towards guests and employees.
  • Must be able to work within the framework of the company policies and procedures as set forth in the employee manuals.
  • Demonstrate ability to cross sell other departments and businesses at the resort, and to effectively communicate that information to our guests.
  • Must be able to accurately clock in and out in the ADP timekeeping system.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of pool/spa chemicals and their use is desirable; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Daily testing of all spas and pools to Montana State Health Department standards.
  • Record keeping of spas and pools to comply with Montana State Health Department.
  • Post and maintain all state required signs.
  • Keep the owner’s files current with all equipment maintenance performed.
  • Maintain the area around the spas and pools to ensure a safe, relaxed atmosphere for the guests.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance director or Maintenance Manager.
