About The Position

Additionally, as full-time employees these Hot Tek / Tube Tech Versatility Team members are eligible for 32 guaranteed hours weekly, even if they are not working on a project or in the shop. Starting Pay: Usually between $60,000-$75,000 in the first year! How do you get on the Versatility Team? You must: Be active in our main DISA drug screen policies including our Urine & Alcohol and Hair Follicle tests. Be able to clear any other project specific drug screen as needed. Have an acceptable Criminal Background to be able to access our strictest client sites including Canada and/or not have a DISA background score higher than 2. Have a Valid US Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record. Have a Valid TWIC Card. Have a Valid Passport (US or Foreign). Be able to pass site-specific testing (such as Basic Plus or other general safety and site knowledge tests. If you have some of these things but not all, you can still be eligible! We offer our employees 60 days from hire to provide these credentials in order to be enrolled in the team. Requirements

  • Be active in our main DISA drug screen policies including our Urine & Alcohol and Hair Follicle tests.
  • Be able to clear any other project specific drug screen as needed.
  • Have an acceptable Criminal Background to be able to access our strictest client sites including Canada and/or not have a DISA background score higher than 2.
  • Have a Valid US Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Have a Valid TWIC Card.
  • Have a Valid Passport (US or Foreign).
  • Be able to pass site-specific testing (such as Basic Plus or other general safety and site knowledge tests).
  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lb. multiple times throughout each shift.
  • Working 12-hour shifts for extended periods in excess of 7 days straight - day or night shifts.
  • Capable of wearing a full-face respirator while performing the work.
  • Capable of working in confined spaces and tight areas.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 5 feet and on scaffolding.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures - hot and cold.
  • Capable of traveling for 4-6 weeks at a time domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and handle unexpected situations.
  • Ability to understand and comply with all IGS Programs and Procedures: I.E., Safety, Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace, and client specific policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to meet customer pre-access requirements such as occupational health examinations, training requirements, drug screens, background searches, etc.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

  • Trainees are responsible for IGS Thermal Efficiencies Product Application with a goal of meeting all contractual quality requirements agreed upon between IGS and the customer.
  • The position supports IGS strategic growth objectives through execution of quality projects.
  • Provides information to the Team Leader on all matters related to safety, timeline, and application of IGS products.
  • Trainees are accountable for knowing and adhering to the health, safety, environmental, and quality programs and policies of IGS.
  • Trainees will have additional supervision and direction. However, progression toward self-sufficiency is expected within a reasonable time frame. Such progression will be recognized through promotion to Junior Technician.
  • Participation and satisfactory completion of assigned training is required.
  • Work safely, ensuring all activities conform with both IGS and customer site specific safety requirements
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times through personal adherence of IGS values (the IGS Way)
  • Strive for professional development in terms of improvements in work quality and consistency
  • Prevent any non-conformance that can cause loss of confidence from the customer and project’s profit.
  • Maintain and employ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), provided.
  • Fully comply with IGS and site-specific safety protocols/ equipment safe operating practices.
  • Mobilize / de-mobilize site essential equipment as directed.
  • Perform IGS trained Hole Watch duties with attention to awareness and minimal breaks.
  • Initiate effective, continuous QC communication with attention to defect notification, understanding personal work scope and requesting clarification when uncertainties arise.
  • Understand task specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Complete housekeeping tasks such as collection and disposal of packaging and trash.
  • Adhere to all designated travel arrangements to ensure planned arrival at project site.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license to operate company or rental vehicles.
  • Review QCP with the Team Leader prior to start of any work.
  • Pass all necessary trainings provided by IGS and customer’s requirements.
  • WJA certified.
  • Inspection of Equipment and Hoses.
  • Able to identify the difference in Thread standards.
  • Able to Identify the Color coding of the pressure standards.
  • Able to Identify Equipment.
  • Able to understand communication language from Operator.
  • Able to operate Pump.
  • Able to perform Pre startup checklist.
  • Able to perform Shut off Procedure.
  • Able to operate the pump according to the applicator’s instructions.
  • Perform inspections of cleaned areas.
  • Employ safe gun handling.
  • Perform basic inspections for routine equipment and high-pressure hoses.
