About The Position

Jefferson Industries Corporation is seeking Maintenance Technicians for its Hot Stamping Maintenance Department. The role supports production by maintaining and improving presses, laser cells, conveyors, and other equipment. The core second-shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The position is based at Jefferson Industries Corp in West Jefferson, Ohio. Technicians respond to equipment breakdowns, complete scheduled work orders, perform predictive and preventive maintenance, track spare-parts inventory, and record downtime data. They work with Quality and Production to investigate equipment-related quality issues, identify root causes, and implement countermeasures. The role also includes analyzing downtime trends and completing other assigned duties. The position offers a tiered hourly wage based on experience, shift premium eligibility, bonuses, paid vacation, retirement contributions and matching, insurance and disability coverage, and other benefits. Employees may be required to work overtime, weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and odd shifts as needed.

Requirements

Ability to use basic hand tools.
Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision.
Able to work odd shifts, weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and overtime.
Quality-oriented and able to understand how tasks may impact quality.
Ability to use a computer.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds consistently.
Ability to stand on concrete for up to 12 hours.
Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, and twist throughout the shift.
Willingness and ability to work overtime as required to meet customer demands; overtime may be daily and/or on weekends.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

Maintain presses, laser cells, conveyors, and other equipment to support production requirements.
Install, repair, and improve equipment.
Partner with Quality and Production to determine root causes of equipment-driven quality issues and help identify and implement countermeasures.
Track spare-parts inventory.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and record downtime data.
Complete scheduled work orders and update logs.
Perform predictive and preventive maintenance tasks.
Conduct monthly downtime analysis to identify equipment downtime trends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
