About The Position

Dickerson & Bowen is a leading provider of aggregates, asphalt and asphalt paving services in central and southern Mississippi. D&B operates four asphalt plants and two active sand and gravel plants and is a natural extension to our recently established Southeast platform, further strengthening our vertically integrated footprint. Performs any combination of following tasks, such as repairing, cleaning, maintaining, washing, and loading.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience
On the job training required.
Follow specific directions
Perform a variety of duties which may often change; work within standards of accuracy
Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure
Evaluate information using measurable standards.
Stand or walk for long periods
Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds
Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment
Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction).

Responsibilities

Daily housekeeping at plant site and tool rooms.
Lifts, carries, and holds materials, tools, and supplies.
Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
Visually inspect equipment and inform of repairs needed.
Performs a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, such as repairing material leaks, repairing/replacing belts, preventive maintenance, greasing, and cleaning.
Adhere to all safety expectations and guidelines.
