Requirements

Two years of experience in a leadership role.
Five years of experience in an industrial setting.

Nice To Haves

Five years of relevant Hot Strip Mill experience.
Bachelor’s degree or other education, training, or certifications that show evidence of desire for growth and personal improvement, particularly in areas that complement job performance.
The willingness to advance further in his/her career and relocate for future opportunities within Nucor.

Responsibilities

Lead the Hot Mill efforts to become the world's safest steel company.
Serve as an integral member of the Hot Mill leadership team.
Lead efforts to continually improve safety, profitability, and team member development.
Promote a culture of ownership, engagement, and teamwork.
Work with other departments to ensure consistency and long-term success of the division.
Able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
