The operator may work from a cab or remote-control station and supports the EAF, LMF, VTD, CCM, and Refractory areas. The role requires determining load weights and verifying lifting capacities to prevent overloads; inspecting crane components and assisting with adjustments to prevent malfunctions or damage; and helping maintain equipment through cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to mechanisms such as cables, pulleys, and grappling devices. The operator follows all safety procedures and operational standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates must be able to work safely and effectively in a demanding industrial environment, regularly lift up to 50 pounds, and demonstrate safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.
