About The Position

Starcorr Sheets, LLC is hiring a dependable, safety-focused Hostler/Yard Assistant to support third-shift shipping and receiving operations in Temple, Texas. The role involves operating yard trucks and moving and staging trailers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to help keep production and shipments on schedule. The employee also assists with loading and unloading trailers, trailer and equipment inspections, shipment planning, trailer organization, freight documentation, and material tracking using an Axiom tablet.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and Texas driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and equipment operating instructions.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties associated with the position.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience driving a Class 8 combination vehicle.
• At least 1 year of forklift operating experience.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Experience working in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard trucks and move and stage trailers to support daily shipping and receiving operations.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers while ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently.
• Inspect trailers and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and safe operating conditions.
• Secure trailers using dock locks, wheel chocks, and other safety equipment.
• Support shipment planning, trailer organization, and accurate freight documentation.
• Use an Axiom tablet to scan and track materials as they move.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
