About The Position
NORPAC is seeking a qualified Hostler to join its Warehouse team at the NORPAC Mill in Longview, Washington. This is a safety-sensitive position involving on-site hostling operations. The role operates mobile equipment to move paper rolls between the main shipping warehouse and storage sheds, assists with preloading trailers for outbound shipments, and positions preloaded trailers at receiving warehouses. The position also conducts trailer inspections and completes related documentation. Work takes place in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures on a rotating 12-hour night shift.
Requirements
- Ability to carry or push 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk.
- Ability to twist and turn.
- Knowledge of pre-use inspections of mobile equipment.
- Ability to back up and maneuver a truck/trailer combination.
Responsibilities
- Operate mobile equipment to move paper rolls between the main shipping warehouse and storage sheds.
- Assist with preloading trailers for outbound shipments.
- Position preloaded trailers at receiving warehouses.
- Conduct trailer inspections and complete associated documentation.
- Perform other assigned duties.
