Hostler Driver
About The Position
ConGlobal is hiring a full-time Hostler Driver/Operator to reposition intermodal containers and chassis safely and efficiently within its depot facility in Louisville, Kentucky. The role uses a hostler to transport and store containers and chassis, helps minimize driver wait times, and supports smooth facility operations, including gate activities and equipment repairs. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a starting pay range of $22.44–$23.51 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required, and candidates must pass pre-employment background verification, which may include a criminal background check and drug screening. Requirements
- Experience operating a hostler or similar heavy equipment.
- Strong attention to safety and situational awareness.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude.
- Ability to follow safety requirements and practices at all times.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must pass pre-employment background verification, which may include a criminal background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Operate a hostler to move containers and chassis within the yard.
- Coordinate with gate personnel to assist drivers dropping off or picking up equipment.
- Move equipment to support maintenance repairs or inspections.
- Perform routine safety checks and report equipment issues or safety concerns.
- Follow site safety protocols and help maintain a clean, organized yard.
