About The Position
The Hostess presents a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards. This person also greets guests upon arrival, informs guests of their wait time, monitors a waiting list, enters guest’s names into the system, shows guests to their table and bids guests farewell as they exit the property. This role also participates in in-house modeling programs, guest events, and performs model/presenter tasks at Clevelander events, maintaining appearance standards consistent with the Company’s brand expectations and serving as a Brand Ambassador.

Responsibilities
- Presents a warm, welcoming and outgoing first impression to guests entering and/or passing by the property entrances
- Delivers an enthusiastic and professional greeting to guests upon arrival to dining areas, and adds them to the wait list when necessary
- Provides guests with menus and answers any initial questions
- Seats guests at tables and bars
- Assigns guests to tables in the venues they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive a manageable number of tables and a fair opportunity to interact and engage in the sales process
- Engages with guests to ensure happiness with the food and beverage services they receive
- Consistently delivers exceptional service to guests while entertaining in a professional manner in accordance with the Company’s brand expectations
- Builds relationships with guests that add value to the guest experience
- Is knowledgeable and helpful about the local area, the hotel and the hotel services, bar and restaurant services
- Responds to complaints and seeks resolution, involves management in all guest related issues or concerns
- Supports and assists team members in all positions
- Participates in in-house modeling programs, guest events, and performs model/presenter tasks at Clevelander events
- Maintains weight and appearance levels consistent with that at time of hire
- Models Clevelander apparel and accessories while greeting guests, and maintains an appearance consistent with the Company’s brand expectations
- Serves as a Brand Ambassador for Clevelander, using finesse and good judgment
- Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures at all time
- Documents maintenance issues
- Attends required meetings
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area
- Properly documents all transactions
- May need to assist with clearing, cleaning and resetting tables
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned
