About The Position

Paws Up is seeking a Hostess-Host to join their team. The role involves greeting and engaging guests, coordinating reservations using OpenTable, and responding to inquiries professionally to ensure maximum customer satisfaction while adhering to The Resort at Paws Up policies. This position offers a starting wage of $18 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or vocational training or job-related coursework.
Valid Food Handler’s License.
Valid State Driver’s License.
Proficient ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and prioritizing workload throughout the day.
Has a friendly and professional manner under periods of high demands and with guests, team members, and management.

Nice To Haves

Preferably 6 months of food & beverage experience, preferably in fine dining or a resort.
Knowledge of world-class hospitality and service.

Responsibilities

Greet guests upon arrival, introduce yourself, and address the party by their surname or acquire their name and party size.
Guide guests to their pre-set table according to the party size and guest preferences.
Offer to check coats when appropriate.
Offer sparkling/still water to guests at the start of their service when appropriate.
Clear all non-used settings when appropriate for service.
Introduce the server/SA responsible for the table when appropriate for service.
Set up and maintain a clean host/hostess stand.
Act promptly to all guest and manager requests.
Help prepare the dining room for service and assist with service when appropriate.
Ensure menus are clean and up to date.
Report table status and reservations to the kitchen and restaurant manager, including daily cover counts.
Compliment guests upon departing, arrange transportation if necessary, thank them, and smile.
Walk guests to the door when appropriate for service.
