About The Position
The Host at Lone Mountain Ranch plays an important role in shaping the guest dining experience from the moment guests arrive. As the first point of contact in the restaurant, this position helps create a warm, welcoming, and seamless atmosphere while supporting the overall flow of service throughout the dining experience. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, organized, and naturally hospitality-driven. Hosts work closely with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and leadership to ensure guests feel genuinely cared for while maintaining a polished and professional dining environment.
Requirements
- Previous customer service, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
- Friendly, professional, and polished demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable communicating with guests and team members professionally and confidently
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solution-oriented during busy service periods
- Familiarity with reservation systems, POS systems, and basic computer skills preferred
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support overall restaurant operations
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting and restaurant support tasks
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating and reservations
- Manage waitlists, reservations, and table flow during service periods
- Communicate clearly with restaurant staff to help ensure smooth and efficient service
- Answer guest questions about menus, dining experiences, and Ranch offerings
- Assist with table resets, water service, and general dining room support as needed
- Help maintain an organized, clean, and inviting host stand and waiting area
- Support take-out orders and special guest requests with attention to detail
- Assist bartenders, servers, or other restaurant team members when needed
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, and hospitality-focused environment
