About The Position

Scout's Pub in Franklin, Tennessee, part of the A. Marshall Hospitality family of restaurants, is hiring a Host. The Host provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience by welcoming and warmly greeting guests, and managing efficient, timely seating at tables that best suit guests' wishes. The role also assists with to-go orders and answers the telephone. Weekend availability is needed, and hours vary. The pay rate is $12.00 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Pass the federally mandated E-Verify process.
Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests.
Have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
Have basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
Be able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours.
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and beverages frequently weighing up to 20 to 30 pounds.
Be self-disciplined, take initiative, have leadership skills, and be outgoing.
Have a pleasant, polite manner and a neat, clean appearance.
Be able to multitask and problem-solve while handling the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities.

Responsibilities

Welcome and warmly greet guests upon arrival.
Manage the efficient and timely seating of guests at tables that best serve their wishes.
Assist with to-go orders.
Answer the telephone.
Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests.
Coordinate a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
