About The Position

The host or hostess is the critical first impression of the restaurant and is empowered to create memorable guest experiences. The role welcomes guests, coordinates seating and reservations, helps maintain the dining room, and communicates information between shifts and management. Lions Den is located at The Stoneleigh in Uptown Dallas and is scheduled to open May 1, 2026.

Requirements

Ability to comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders, and similar written materials.
Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
Ability to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to handle customer complaints and concerns in a friendly, positive manner by listening, demonstrating empathy, and providing proactive solutions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including adapting communication style to different audiences.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet guests, offer them a choice of seating, escort them to their table, and present the menu.
Read, maintain, and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
Maintain the proper setup of the dining room.
Receive and record reservations and make necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
