About The Position

As a Host, you are the first smile our guests see and the last impression they leave with. You’ll set the tone for an exceptional dining experience by delivering warm, attentive service and ensuring smooth flow throughout the restaurant.

Requirements

  • Prior host or front-of-house experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with experience in service recovery and problem-solving
  • Comfort with reservation systems and basic computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing guest needs
  • Team-first attitude and ability to work cohesively with all restaurant staff
  • Passion for hospitality and the food & beverage industry
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, reaching, and twisting

Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest with a warm smile and superior customer service
  • Provide courteous, prompt service to all guests
  • Answer incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage reservations using OpenTable, Toast, and other platforms
  • Seat guests according to seating guidelines to ensure equitable server distribution
  • Monitor dining areas for seating availability, service flow, safety, and guest satisfaction
  • Assist with take-out orders and support servers when needed
  • Maintain knowledge of menu and beverage offerings
  • Communicate guest requests, including dietary restrictions, to culinary staff
  • Adhere to Emmy’s Steps of Service at all times
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and presentable work environment
  • Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor throughout service
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
