Position Summary The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming first impression for members and guests. This role manages reservations, seating flow, and guest communication to ensure an organized and elevated dining experience.

Requirements

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Basic knowledge of reservation systems (or willingness to learn)
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs (menus, small supplies)

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Manage reservations and seating using reservation systems (e.g., ForeTees, OpenTable)
• Maintain accurate wait times and communicate delays clearly
• Escort guests to tables and present menus when appropriate
• Coordinate table rotation and seating flow with servers and management
• Answer phone calls, assist with inquiries, and take reservations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
• Assist with special events, large parties, and member functions
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary
