About The Position
The Farmer's Daughter Restaurant at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in working in an upscale hospitality environment. An exemplary work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for providing superior customer service are necessary for all applicants. Applicants with experience working for first-class hospitality organizations will be strongly considered. A Host ensures that their guests feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. They create a warm and welcoming environment for patrons from the moment they enter the establishment. Hosts typically provide menus, take names for reservations, and answer the phone. This is a full-time position offering a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k), and short- and long-term disability coverage.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Work Permit required under the age of 18
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food, and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
- Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules
- Available to work weekends, day and evening shifts and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Easter, & Mother's Day)
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Always arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance.
- Must have reliable transportation.

- Previous hosting experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Attends and Participates in all training sessions and team meetings.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner.
- Greet guests with a warm smile to make them feel welcome.
- Seats guests and provides menus, following the appropriate rotation.
- Answers the phone politely and assists callers, including answering questions about the establishment and making reservations.
- Manages and confirms all Open Table reservations.
- Cater to the guests’ requests and needs in a prompt and professional manner to ensure an overall superior level of customer service.
- Performs all assigned side work and keeps host stand and lobby area clean.
- Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct.
- Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management.
- Reports to the Restaurant Manager
