As a key part of the guest experience, you will help guide guests through a thoughtful dining journey, delivering genuine service and creating a positive, memorable experience. The HOST will be the first point of contact for our guest setting the tone for a warm and welcoming atmosphere and commitment to exceptional hospitality.

Requirements

  • 6 + months prior experience as host preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication and positive interpersonal skills required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to acquire a Food Handlers license, Sexual Harassment certification, RBS (alcohol) certification (before or within 2 + weeks of hiring)

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet the guest in a timely, friendly and professional manner.
  • Thank guest on their way out to complete the guest experience
  • Work closely with servers and management to coordinate seating, maintaining optimal dining room flow and accommodate special requests
  • Provide guests with detailed information about the menu and offer recommendations based on guest performances
  • Set ambiance (music, lights and cleanliness) of the dining room for an enjoyable and memorable guest performance
  • Keep the Front-of-House (FOH) area organized, clean and inventing
  • Address and resolve guest customers promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary
  • Assist with updating reservation log, resetting tables and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current promotions, events and specials to effectively communicate with guests
