About The Position

We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and friendly dining experience for all guests, aiming for every guest to leave happy. As a host, you will use strong interpersonal skills to assist servers in creating a positive impression of the restaurant's hospitality, excellent service, and high standards. Your role involves warmly greeting guests upon arrival and departure, communicating professionally, and setting a positive tone for their experience. Hosts manage the restaurant's flow by handling seating, reservations, and wait lists. This fast-paced, high-energy environment requires you to play an important role in the overall success of the restaurant and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience hosting in an upscale establishment.
  • A desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team.
  • Passion for providing extraordinary service.
  • Must be upbeat, outgoing, and positive.
  • Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
  • Must be able to stand, reach, bend, stoop, and wipe for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry trays or supplies (up to 25 lbs.).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Our Mission, Every Guest Leaves Happy, through teamwork, hospitality, proactive communication, and helping outside your role as needed.
  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a smile, eye contact, and genuine hospitality.
  • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
  • Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests as appropriate.
  • Tend to special guest needs and requests with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
  • Be observant to guests' needs throughout dining experience and communicate needs proactively to ensure they receive high quality service.
  • Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
  • Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to guests’ and coworkers’ needs.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.
  • Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.
  • Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
  • Conclude the guest experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return.
  • Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at end of shift.
