About The Position

Inspired by the Oregon coast, free and open to everyone, Public Coast Brewing honors that same welcoming spirit by making craft beer that’s both delicious and approachable. At Public Coast, all are invited – especially beer lovers of all stripes. Kick back on our patio, grab a stool at the wrap-around bar, or watch the beer being made through the windows of the brewery. Each team member should expect to work at all stations if needed at any time during the hours of operations. The role you have been chosen for is an essential part of the brewery and pub operations. You will be the first and last face each guest will see while here at the brewery, so the expectation is you’re “On stage” and will act in a professional, positive way with each guest interaction.

Requirements

At least one year of related education, training and/or experience.
Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system.
Working knowledge of beer
Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations, and has state required liquor license.
Working knowledge of standard cash handling procedures.
State Food Handlers Card

Nice To Haves

Possess working knowledge of the TOAST POS system.
Possess complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus, including daily specials, ingredients, preparation, how items are served and with what accompaniments.
Maintain a complete knowledge of our Gluten Free options.

Responsibilities

Greet guests personally at the front foyer area.
Offer appropriate seating arrangements for guests.
Relay to go orders to the kitchen and ensure all orders are filled in a timely and accurate fashion.
Assist with dining room set-up and keep front area stocked with menus.
Manage event-related work including setting up tables and maintaining both exterior and interior of the restaurant.
Maintain clean and organized work area.
Notify the MOD of any large parties that exceed the capacity of standard tables.
Check with kitchen manager for daily specials.
Answer the phone promptly before three rings, using a friendly tone and providing the requested information.
Explain to guests the ordering process.
Offer menus to guests upon arrival and answer questions about the menu.
When the line is at capacity, offer to take beer orders.
Offer samples to guests when feasible.
Buses tables and outside seating area.
Takes food orders and delivers food
