About The Position

The Sky House Busser/Host is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting and seating them in a friendly and efficient manner. They manage reservations, waitlists, and coordinate seating flow to ensure smooth restaurant operations and a positive guest experience. Additionally, they support the dining room team by clearing and resetting tables, refilling water, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. They help ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for guests. Considered by many as the best skiing in Idaho and the best family-friendly resort in the Pacific Northwest, Schweitzer ranks as one of the nation’s top winter destinations with 2,900 acres of incredible terrain thanks to two massive bowls and renowned tree skiing. Located in the rugged Selkirk Mountains of the northern Idaho panhandle, and only 80 miles from Spokane, WA, Schweitzer overlooks the town of Sandpoint, ID and offers breathtaking views of three states, Canada and the impressive Lake Pend Oreille.

Requirements

  • English reading, writing and communication; plus basic math.
  • Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Will lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Minimum 14 years of age.
  • Open availability during weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level is preferred.
  • 4 months job specific experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist by retrieving and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins.
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards.
  • Remove used plates, glasses, utensils from table after customers are done eating.
  • Clean up water spills, food stains and debris from tables.
  • Take out trash and recycling.
  • Refilling paper napkins, condiments, salt, and pepper shakers.
  • Cleaning and bussing both The Nest & Red Hawk Café dining area throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in giving directions and answering questions.
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and coordinate seating flow to ensure smooth restaurant operations and a positive guest experience.
  • Support the dining room team by clearing and resetting tables, refilling water, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
