About The Position
The Host is the first team member to interact with guests as they arrive at Tucker’s. The host greets and welcomes guests, seats them, and represents the restaurant’s service and hospitality. While guests wait for a table or for take-out orders, the host keeps them comfortable and informed about wait times and order status. The position also involves monitoring dining sections for empty, cleaned tables, estimating guest wait times, managing the waiting list, and attending to guests’ needs while they wait.
Responsibilities
- Greet arriving guests, welcome them to Tucker’s, and seat them.
- Provide a positive first impression of the restaurant’s service and hospitality.
- Keep guests comfortable and informed about wait times and take-out order status.
- Monitor dining sections for empty, cleaned tables.
- Estimate wait times and monitor the guest waiting list.
- Ensure guests’ needs are met while they wait.
