About The Position

The Host/Take Out Associate greets and seats restaurant guests in a friendly, personalized manner and maintains courteous communication throughout their visit. The role includes answering calls and guest questions, managing reservations and the waiting list, and keeping the front desk staffed to welcome and farewell guests and invite them to return. The associate also receives, processes, assembles, and packages takeout and delivery orders, processes payments, and ensures order quality and service standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to handle cash and paperwork accurately.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting.
Ability to handle guest incidents and complaints.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience as a Host.
Working knowledge of OpenTable and Point of Sale.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant.
Seat guests efficiently, manage the seating chart, and support an optimal flow of diners.
Provide accurate wait times and monitor the waiting list.
Manage reservations using OpenTable.
Answer incoming calls and respond courteously to guest inquiries.
Receive, process, and manage takeout and delivery orders.
Assemble and package orders to prevent spills, leaks, or damage during transportation.
Process takeout payments using cash, credit/debit, and digital payment methods.
Handle cash accurately and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
Maintain a presence at the front desk to welcome and farewell guests and invite them to return.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
