A hospitality professional comes to work on time in the proper uniform, both clean and pressed, with all necessary tools needed to perform their job. This includes their unique talents, a welcoming disposition, necessary menu and restaurant knowledge, and a commitment to teamwork. A host greets customers as they enter a restaurant with a warm welcome and officially begins their PJ Clarke’s experience. This may include taking reservations using OpenTable, constructing a waitlist, escorting the guests to their seats, pulling out chairs and providing the necessary menus. Hosts are responsible for the planning and organization of the dining areas during their shift. This includes thoughtfully plotting the reservations and communicating with the management team. Hosts also handle phone calls and guest queries regarding the restaurant and menu. In addition, the hosts run our delivery service using both Aloha and the online delivery services. They are accountable for all delivery financial transactions. Hosts are responsible for preparing, maintaining, breaking down, and cleaning their work area according to their designated side work.
