A host is responsible for immediately smiling and acknowledging each person in a pleasant and inviting manner as they enter the restaurant, and then thanking them upon leaving. The host helps control the flow of the restaurant through seating guests, answering the phone at the stand, validating parking tickets, assisting in retail and answering guest’s questions.
