About The Position

The Host is the face of the company and helps ensure a smooth dining experience from guests’ arrival through departure. Typical duties include greeting guests, escorting them to tables, managing wait times, answering phones, taking reservations, and operating and troubleshooting reservation software. The role also involves coordinating seating and table assignments, communicating with servers and management, providing menus and basic restaurant information, and maintaining the host stand, reservation system, and waiting area.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and coordinate seating to ensure an organized dining room flow.
• Communicate with servers and management to balance table assignments and maintain accurate wait times.
• Provide guests with menus and answer basic questions about the restaurant.
• Help guests feel welcomed and attended to from arrival.
• Maintain the host stand, reservation system, and waiting area.
• Deliver professional first and last impressions for guests.
• Answer phones and take reservations.
• Operate and troubleshoot reservation software.
• Escort guests to their tables.
