About The Position

801 Chophouse St. Louis is looking for a Host to join our team! If you are an upbeat, social person who has a passion for excellent service and fine dining, and enjoys establishing genuine connections with guests, we want to talk to you! This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) front of the house (FOH) position working in a team-oriented, high-volume / fast-paced, guest-centric environment with the highest quality food & drink. We are specifically hiring for a host who is available to work evening shifts on Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday. You must be available on those days. Quintessential Steak House , timeless yet contemporary. Unique in-house meat program, serving only aged USDA prime cuts, wet and dry-aged products and select Japanese and domestic Wagyu beef. Complimented by a daily fresh sheet, in-house pastry desserts, small-batch bourbons and scotches, and our award winning wine list. We are known for exceeding expectations at the highest level, our professional and personable staff, and our expertise in private dining, including intimate private dining rooms .

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year, but preferably at least 2-3 years of host experience in a fast-paced, high-end / fine dining establishment.
• Must be available to work 3-4 shifts, specifically Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun evenings, including some holidays.
• Knowledge of, and ability to work within, OpenTable and other computer systems.
• The ideal candidate is a high-energy, detail-oriented professional who enjoys interacting with the public while maintaining a strong sense of hospitality, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, to multi-task, and to maintain focus/memory of information received.
• Ability to communicate clearly (in person or via telephone) while demonstrating warmth & professionalism to guests in a busy, fast-paced / high-stress environment.
• Ability to maintain regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
• Physical ability to work on your feet, alertly, for extended periods of time
• Physical ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Ability to bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb and twist
