About The Position

Thrive Restaurant Group is a family-owned restaurant company. HomeGrown, which debuted in 2017, partners with local producers and is guided by the value “Cultivating Kindness.” The Host role focuses on providing welcoming, caring hospitality by greeting guests as they arrive and depart, helping them get seated, and maintaining the restaurant’s guest flow. Hosts also process guest payments, accommodate special needs, manage the wait list, assist servers, and keep their work area clean and organized.

Requirements

• A desire to care for others, grow, and learn.
• A positive attitude.
• Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Mobility throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to transport and carry objects such as a highchair, up to 15 pounds, up to 15 times per shift.
• Ability to move and grasp items up to five pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend and stoop.
• Adequate vision to discern cleanliness throughout the restaurant and operate a touchscreen.

Responsibilities

• Open the door for guests arriving and departing.
• Serve as cashier and process guest payments.
• Accommodate guests’ special needs, including boosters, highchairs, and disability-related needs.
• Lead guests to tables and distribute menus.
• Manage the wait list when the restaurant is full.
• Provide assistance to servers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned cleaning.
• Wipe down tabletops, table legs, and booth seats, and pick up debris from the floor.
• Navigate the restaurant and communicate with guests.
