About The Position

The Host is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression for guests while supporting the overall flow and efficiency of the restaurant. This position serves as a key point of communication between guests, servers, managers, and other departments to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and table assignments through the restaurant reservation system.
Seat guests efficiently while maintaining proper rotation and balancing server sections.
Maintain accurate table status and communicate changes with the service team and management.
Answer incoming phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries and general restaurant information.
Communicate special occasions, dietary restrictions, VIP guests, and other relevant details to the appropriate team members.
Coordinate with servers, bussers, and managers to support efficient table turns and minimize guest wait times.
Maintain an organized, clean, and professional host stand and entrance area.
Assist with takeout orders and other guest service needs when necessary.
Provide accurate information regarding restaurant hours, menus, resort amenities, and dining options.
Professionally address guest concerns and involve a manager when additional assistance is needed.
Support the restaurant team during high-volume periods by assisting with additional operational needs as assigned.
Maintain professional appearance, communication, and service standards at all times.
