The Host/Server position at Hog Island Oyster Co. (HIOC) is an integral member of the restaurant team and sets the tone of the restaurant, creating authentic experiences for our guests. For this role, you should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. You will be responsible for greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, escorting customers to the dining and bar areas, and assisting with side work such as polishing silverware or folding napkins. You will also be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, checking on guest satisfaction, answering questions about the menu and food, processing payments, communicating orders with the kitchen staff, and assisting with customer service and cleaning.
