About The Position

The Host welcomes guests and maintains a smooth and steady flow in restaurant service by assigning patrons to tables suitable for guest needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.

Requirements

• Must be available Tuesday through Saturday nights and Sunday brunch
• Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
• Provide legible communication and directions
• Compute basic arithmetic
• At least 1 year of experience in similar position dealing with the general public

Nice To Haves

• Desire to grow within the hospitality industry is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Servers in preparing for dinner or lunch service
• Review and confirm reservations for each service
• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
• Provide guests with menus
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
• Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, to respond to complaints, or to make conversation
• Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls
