About The Position
Hickory Tavern is a neighborhood restaurant and gathering spot serving food and drinks to families, friends, and sports fans. The Host/Hostess welcomes guests, manages waitlists and seating, and helps ensure smooth service in a friendly, supportive environment.
Requirements
- Stand and walk for 4 to 8 hours per shift.
- Reach, lift, and bend frequently.
- Read and write English.
- Verbalize and clearly respond to guests.
- Be friendly and smile.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a smile and a friendly attitude.
- Manage waitlists and seating assignments.
- Answer phones and take reservations, if applicable.
- Communicate with servers and managers to ensure smooth service.
- Keep the host area clean and organized.
