About The Position

Greet and seat all guests and ensure a quality dining experience. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different floors of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning/inspection tasks.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Company Standards.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
  • Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required.
  • Being passionate about people and service.
  • Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
  • Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/information updates, etc.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.

  • Greeting every guest with a smile and positive attitude.
  • Ensuring that all guests are dealt with in a professional, consistent manner.
  • Diplomatically handling difficult situations and people.
  • Providing a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety programs, Health Department requirements, and job safety analysis.
  • Maintaining and enforcing sanitation laws and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen and restaurant area.
  • Following all applicable Company Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Performing other assignments as directed by the General Manager.
  • Being an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team.
  • Being professional, responsible and mature in conduct and behavior.
  • Being understanding of, encouraging to and friendly with all co-workers.
  • Being self-motivated and using time wisely.
