About The Position

At Sizzler, we are committed to providing great food and a welcoming dining experience for every guest. From our fresh salad bar to our signature entrees, our team members play a key role in creating a comfortable, friendly, and enjoyable environment where guests can relax and enjoy their meals. As a Host/Hostess, you are the first point of contact for our guests and help set the tone for their dining experience. The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing waitlists, and supporting smooth front-of-house operations. This role ensures guests feel welcomed and that dining room flow is efficient and organized. This is a non-exempt position that interacts directly with guests and supports the front-of-house team.

Previous customer service or restaurant experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and provide a warm, friendly welcome
Manage waitlists and provide accurate wait time estimates
Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections and dining room flow
Maintain a clean and organized host stand, lobby, and entrance area
Assist guests with questions and direct them to dining areas, including buffet or salad bar where applicable
Answer phone calls and assist with basic guest inquiries
Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and management to coordinate seating
Maintain menus and ensure front-of-house areas are clean and stocked
Follow all company standards for guest service and hospitality
Adapt to varying responsibilities during shifts based on business needs
