About The Position
We are seeking a Host/Hostess to join the team at our thriving restaurant. In this role, you will welcome guests and reservations organized to ensure optimal service. Your goal is to quickly build rapport with patrons and make them feel welcome. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and committed to providing an exceptional dining experience. This is also a tipped position.
Requirements
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a host/hostess, server, or busser is preferred
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a smile and inform them of the wait time
- Handle incoming calls for the restaurant that include reservation inquiries and to-go orders
- Seat guests at their tables, taking into consideration server availability and guest needs
- Help out on the floor when available
- Help set up tables and run food
