Host/Hostess AM Shift
About The Position
At DoubleTree Rosemont, the little things matter. We are looking for a friendly, dependable AM Host/Hostess who enjoys helping guests start their day on the right note. This role is responsible for welcoming and assisting guests in our Food & Beverage operation while also helping keep our Made Market stocked, organized, clean, and ready for guests throughout the morning. This is an active hospitality position. You won't spend the entire shift standing at a host stand. You'll greet guests, help keep service moving smoothly, answer questions, maintain an inviting environment, and step into the Made Market to stock and organize products as business needs require.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and remain active for up to 8 hours
Nice To Haves
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is helpful, but not required
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests and create a welcoming first impression.
- Assist with seating and guest flow during breakfast and morning service.
- Answer guest questions about restaurant offerings, hotel services, and available amenities.
- Communicate clearly with servers, culinary team members, and other hotel departments to keep service running smoothly.
- Monitor the dining area and entrance to help maintain a clean, organized, guest-ready environment.
- Assist with the daily operation of the Made Market.
- Stock and replenish beverages, snacks, food items, supplies, and other market merchandise.
- Rotate and organize products and help maintain neat, attractive displays.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to management.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the Made Market.
- Assist guests with questions and purchases in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Follow hotel procedures for product handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
- Complete opening, side-work, and assigned shift responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team and assist where needed during busy periods.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the DoubleTree with warmth and care.
- Enjoys interacting with guests and providing genuine hospitality.
- Is dependable and ready to work scheduled morning shifts, including weekends and holidays as business requires.
