About The Position

We’re seeking a warm, professional, and highly organized Host to join our team at our new Yountville restaurant - Clementine. As the first and last impression for every guest, the Host plays a vital role in setting the tone for the dining experience. You’ll greet guests with a genuine smile, manage reservations and walk-ins with care, and ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fresh concept in one of the most iconic culinary destinations in the country.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a host or in a guest-facing hospitality role preferred
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a naturally warm and welcoming personality
  • Comfortable using reservation management platforms (e.g., Resy, OpenTable, or similar systems)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in a fast-paced environment
  • Calm and composed under pressure, with the ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression
  • Manage the flow of the dining room by accurately taking and tracking reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth transitions and balanced table rotation
  • Provide guests with accurate wait times and keep them informed with a friendly, approachable attitude
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus while offering a brief overview of the restaurant or current specials when needed
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and lobby area
  • Assist in setting the tone for service by helping with ambiance (lighting, music, temperature) and ensuring the entryway reflects our standards
  • Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints with grace and urgency, escalating to management when necessary
  • Collaborate with the team during opening, closing, and peak service periods to ensure a seamless guest experience
