About The Position
We are hiring a Host / Hostess for the Wilde on 27! OUR STORY At the Dorian, Autograph Collection and Courtyard by Marriott Calgary Downtown our associates ensure that every guest experience is a masterpiece, blending impeccable service with whimsical intrigue. Our associates are focused on providing our guests with the best stay possible, to help them pursue their passions through travel. Together we have two unique experiences, with one address, and one team of hospitality professionals dedicated to being the best in everything we do. OUR ROLE We are in search of a professional and customer service-focused Host / Hostess responsible for greeting guests as they arrive to the restaurant, seating them in a friendly, welcoming manner, taking reservations, managing table turnover, and preparing tables for use.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to Safety.
- Someone with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work well under pressure, multitask and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
- Someone with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn and prefers to work as part of a team.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver exceptional service to guests and fellow associates.
- Greet guests in a pleasant and courteous manner, directing them to the appropriate table.
- Uphold our high sanitation and safety standards.
- Assist in maintaining stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
- Perform general cleaning tasks, using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, tending to guest special requests and cross-training, to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Endeavor to work in a unified and collaborative way -- one that fosters teamwork.
- Follow all safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
