About The Position
Thrive Restaurant Group, a family-owned restaurant company with over 50 years in business, is seeking a Host/Hostess. The company is committed to making a difference in the lives of the people they serve and the communities in which they live. They operate Carlos O’Kelly’s, which started in 1981 and is known for its 'Mex From Scratch' oven-baked dishes, legendary margaritas, house-made chips, and famous queso and salsa. This position is responsible for enthusiastically greeting guests as they arrive and depart, assisting them to their seats, and maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant with a caring sense of hospitality to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
Requirements
- A desire to care for others, grow, and learn.
- A positive attitude.
- Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
- Mobility required during the entire shift.
- Transports and carries objects (such as high-chair) up to 15 pounds up to 15 times a shift.
- Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Opens door for guests arriving and departing.
- Accommodates any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities.
- Manages the Wait List when the restaurant is full.
- Provides guest assistance to servers as needed.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and completes cleaning as assigned.
- Fills out the feature board and inflates balloons.
