About The Position

The Sol by The Sea restaurant, located at the Playa Largo Resort & Spa, is seeking a Host/Hostess. This role is responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and will maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel's standards of service.
• Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and always maintaining the cleanliness of the room.
• Take, record, and confirm reservations as specified in the department’s standards.
• Assist in monitoring the guests' needs and all phases of the operation.
• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
