About The Position

The Sandbar Server at Playa Largo Resort & Spa will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders, serving guests, collecting payments, and assisting with the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. This role requires ensuring compliance with daily operational procedures, maintaining food and beverage safety and quality, and communicating effectively with management and staff. The position offers a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.
• Collect payments.
• Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
