About The Position
JINYA Ramen Bar is known for its authentic ramen, bold flavors, and exceptional guest experience. Our team is passionate about hospitality, teamwork, and delivering memorable dining experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and energetic Host / Hostess to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, hosts play a critical role in setting the tone for the dining experience. The ideal candidate is welcoming, professional, and able to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and guest service mindset
Nice To Haves
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming first impression of JINYA
- Manage the waitlist and accurately quote wait times
- Escort guests to their tables while maintaining proper table rotation
- Communicate effectively with servers and management to ensure smooth service
- Answer phone calls and assist guests with general questions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
- Assist with guest flow during peak service hours
