About The Position

The Food & Beverage Host/Hostess will greet and welcome hotel guests, ensuring servers are aware of guests seated in their section. This role involves setting up the coffee bar, maintaining its cleanliness and stock, and assisting servers when needed. The Host/Hostess will also manage guest waiting lists and provide information about hotel amenities.

Requirements

Previous experience in a customer service position.
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds occasionally.
Punctuality is critical.
Ability to stand and/or walk around for 4-hour periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospitality experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome hotel guests.
Ensure servers are aware of guests seated in their section.
Set up the coffee bar in the lobby by 6:00 AM with freshly brewed coffee, cups, lids, sugar, milk, stirrers, and cream.
Clean and set out menus on the bar.
Ensure chairs and tables are clean and properly set up.
Welcome guests with a proper salutation, inquire about their room number and last name, and escort them to their table.
Inform guests that their server will assist them shortly.
Assist servers with refilling coffee and water on tables during downtime.
Add guest names to the waiting list if no seating is available and have them wait in the lobby until called.
Maintain the coffee bar area clean and properly restocked until 10:00 AM.
Be knowledgeable about food & beverage offerings and hotel amenities.
Properly close down the coffee bar at the end of the shift, leaving the area clean and organized.
Clean menus and store them away.
Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor.
